Saturday 2nd and 9th August 2025
2.00pm - 4.00pm
This two-part workshop offers an introduction to lino printmaking, working at approximately A5 scale. It’s suitable for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills.
From the very first session, participants will create a print. The session begins with working on a ‘practice’ linocut block to get familiar with the tools and techniques before developing a second, more refined print.
The second session builds on this foundation, offering opportunities to learn multi-colour printing techniques alongside a focus on reduction lino methods, allowing participants to develop their designs and refine their printmaking skills.
A selection of images and magazines will be available for inspiration, but participants are encouraged to bring their own sketches or photos if preferred.
Lino printing is a fundamental technique in printmaking, widely practised by artists for its versatility and creative potential. This workshop offers essential skills and hands-on experience that will equip participants to confidently continue exploring the mediumSuitable for all abilities.
Each group will have its own online gallery page where they can download and share all the digital work they create.
All equipment and materials included.
Students will receive digital prints of their best work.
