Pasta Making Art Workshop

Pasta Making Art Workshop

What does it mean to learn by watching another’s hands? To absorb a recipe through repetition, to carry on tradition through shared gestures?

In this hands-on workshop, participants learn how to make a vegan pasta dough using colourful dyes prepared by artist Carla Smith. Once made, the colourful doughs will be shared between everyone for shaping. You’ll choose from a selection of wooden boards, each engraved with hand-drawn designs, to imprint and shape your pasta.

Collaboration is encouraged—working together to roll, press, and form your dough for the shared meal. The freshly made pasta will be cooked and served with a sugo, made using the artist’s family recipe. We’ll then enjoy the meal together in a communal dining style, celebrating the act of making and eating as a collective experience.
