Messy Play

August 18 | Rainforest Week

To celebrate International Orangutan Day on the 19th of August, we will be thinking about Rainforests!

We will explore a rainforest-themed sensory station and explore a collage based table activity to add some primates to our tree canopy!

These sessions will meet every other week from 10:15 to 11 a.m. for some sensory-based fun for babies and toddlers (aged 0-5 years).

In Messy Play, we will employ different materials to craft, draw, paint and discover textures, sounds, colours and shapes together. The sessions focus on early years foundational aspects of sensory development, giving babies and toddlers a space to engage freely with different sensorial stimuli.

The sessions are structured with 2 play areas - one playing mat on the floor for babies and small children, and a table with materials and instructions for older children to engage in more structured creative activities with their parents.

These classes are also an opportunity for parents to find new routines and combat parental isolation by meeting other creative parents.
